Davis Mountains State Park

Back in college, I made the 800 mile drive with some buddies to this state park located in far West Texas. Hiking the winding trails up the mountain nearest our campsite to see the vast plains was breathtaking to say the least.

Camuy River Cave Park

A few years ago, I had the chance to zipline, rock climb, rappel, explore and go deep into the caves with Aventuras Tierra Adentro based/located in Puerto Rico. Their caving tour was selected by the National Geographic as one of the “500 of the World’s Greatest Trips”. Though not necessarily, a state park, I wanted to create one to commemorate the unforgettable experience,

Lonestar Hiking Trail

The LSHT is the longest trail in Texas and it is my go-to place to trek off the stresses of city living and take a breath of fresh, forest air. I have shared many memorable moments with family and friends and hope to make more with my wife and daughter.
