Campesino - Tenant farmer or farm worker in Latin America

Campesino Coffee House is located in the Montrose area, minutes away from downtown Houston, Texas. Montrose is well known for its diverse and colorful blend of many different cultures, represented in the unique businesses lining the area. Campesino is a Latin take on coffee culture heralding Montrose’s bohemian days with its signature brews and foods deriving inspiration from rich cultures such as Nicaragua and Mexico.

For this project, I chose to take a very literal take on the word “campesino” and the words, “El Pueblo, Unido,” or the “The People, United” centering the logo’s focus on the worker, glorifying the people behind the scenes hard at work each day to provide the rest of the world with the fruits of their labor.

I chose greens and red orange as my palette for the logo, with green symbolizing nature & independence and red orange symbolizing the fiery passion instilled into the foods and drinks.
